Case Study

Lottie Lane was dreamt up by Lindsay, in the midst of the 2020 chaos. After spending the last 12 years as a top producing real estate agent in Denver, she decided to follow her dream to open her own home decor boutique. Lindsay knew she needed to brand and she came to McGrath and McKenna to do just that.

Bringing the brand “home”.

How McGrath and McKenna helped a curated home furnishing brand find its identity.

Design Challenge

The vision of Lottie Lane has always been a brick-and-mortar shop right smack dab in the middle of Erie, CO. Lindsay, the Founder, knew that would be something she would need to work up to so she wanted to start her curated home furnishing business online. She needed a logo, branding and a few marketing pieces to begin building her dream.

Solution

With the Lottie Lane vision in mind, Mc+Mc provided multiple logos and branding ideas to help market the newly created and curated company online. The decision was to incorporate a logo family into the branding while utilizing a subtle color palette. It was important to Lindsay to let the products of her store speak for themselves, so the more subtle, the better.

IMPACT

Lottie Lane launched online in September of 2021. The overwhelming interest in the Lottie Lane brand has been astounding. Since launch, Lindsay has expanded her store to include furniture, pillows & throws, and vintage-inspired pieces. She also recently partnered with larger brands (etúHome, WithCo, for example) to wholesale their products on her website. Lindsay also has begun searching for real estate locations in downtown Erie as possible locations for her brick-and-mortar shop.
