PACKAGING CASE STUDY
While wedding planning, founder Emily was inspired to give a traditional childhood treat a chic upgrade. Art of Sucre was born in 2016 with the idea of spinning fresh cones of cotton candy in creative and unique flavors such as Champagne, Orange Bourbon, and Watermelon for all to enjoy. Art of Sucre is on a mission to spread a little bit of extra sweetness because they (and we!) firmly believe it’s the small things that bring the most joy.
PROJECT SCOPE & ROLE
Emily came to McGrath + McKenna with a vision to transform her cart service/event business model into a consumer packaged good to sell direct to consumers through an online retail store. We provided multiple options for the package structure and branding looks for Emily to consider, ultimately landing on a flexible pouch to help preserve the freshness of the cotton candy. The chosen design has personality and spunk with custom illustrations of each cotton candy character and a window to view the cotton candy in the shape of their hair. The overall design is modern and chic, with a nod to European pâtisseries.
